Rammers are used to compact various types of soils in conditions of limited areas. The vibration force here is the impact energy of the piston of the vibrating rod. During the compaction process, internal cavities are removed from the soil, the material does not sag and acquires the ability to withstand heavy loads. Compacted soil allows less water to pass through, so that seasonal cycles of freezing and thawing the soil cause less deformation of the coating, and the process of cracking slows down many times. The small size of the units is an advantage over large slabs and rollers when working in hard-to-reach places such as trenches, strips along foundations and near walls of buildings, when laying water pipes and electrical cables, installing lighting masts or poles.
